Behind the beans: These beans are carefully selected from Sumatra lots chosen specifically for their quality and ability to excel after decaffeination, resulting in a remarkable rich, full-bodied coffee that preserves the depth and character of its caffeinated cousin.

Flavor Profile and Brewing Strengths:  The chocolate, molasses, spice, herbal/earthy character and substantial body of this coffee particularly favor immersion and concentrated brewing methods. French press preserves the body and emphasizes chocolate/spice; cold brew turns those characteristics toward smooth chocolate and low acidity. Drip and espresso are strong everyday choices. Pour-over works, but clarity-oriented brewing does not capitalize on this Sumatra's strengths as effectively.
